At 4801 Research Drive, our story began in 1985 as McCune Technology-Fayetteville Steel, founded and led by David McCune, whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for a business built on integrity and precision. David was a prominent local leader whose metal art still stands today in the community. In time, the company transitioned to longtime owners Mike and Suzy O’Hern in 2015, who continued to grow the business and strengthen its reputation as the go-to source for quality steel fabrication in the region.

In 2025, ownership passed to Kyle and Mari Dixon, who bring fresh energy and vision while honoring the legacy of those before them. Fayetteville Steel continues to deliver the same reliability and service customers have trusted for generations. Kyle and Mari see Fayetteville Steel not only as a business but as a long-term investment in their family’s future. Their goal is to continue growing and modernizing the company while preserving its small-town values – creating a business that their son, Wyatt, can one day be proud to carry forward.
